![]() They are just awfull arrow sponges, drawing out the fight against them way past their welcome. The daemonic machines with their increased elemental and explosive resistances are significantly harder to kill. The DLC was meant to be more challenging than the vanilla game. Same for the other fire ennemy always rushing you in close combat it's annoying. Originally posted by Hahli:Dlc was harder than all the game LOLĭid it somewhat before the ending of the main game in hard difficulty and damn, the fire bears were awful, the boss battle was the only time I had somewhat of a hard time in the entire game. If you want to read more about Bluegleam: Īs for when to complete the Frozen Wilds content, it is best to do it before you get to the final parts of the main quest in the base game, not just for the better weapons/outfits but also for the extra potential allies in the final main quest. You will also get Bluegleam as quest rewards in The Cut and there's a special merchant in Meridian that sells four Bluegleam boxes. The majority of the Bluegleam locations around The Cut are actually in areas you'll be visiting anyway so there's not really that many that will take you out of your way to collect. ![]() It really killed my motivation haha The main reason to farm the Bluegleam around The Cut is that's the "currency" used to purchase the three Banuk bows (considered by some to be the best bows in the game) and three special outfits (pretty good due to the three modification slots). Now i need to farm dozens of stones for this equipment. Atleast in base game, I already had completed most of the hunting lodges before learning about the weapons they give. I got the map that shows bluegleam locations and Im simply not interested in gathering and farming those stones for the equipment. Not necessarily for equipment but for the story. There is also a Resist Freeze weave modification in their little scrap heap, so be sure to pick that up, too.Originally posted by yodabauer:I think it’s worth it to do the DLC first. One of the Glinthawks will be carrying the Actuator, so take them out to scavenge their corpses for it. There’s a pair of Watchers scouting nearby so keep an eye on those, but from where you’re standing with the Tallneck you can climb up the mountain to its right to find a nest of Glinthawks above. So now it’s time to Find Missing Tallneck Parts. You’ll discover that there are three main components missing from the machine that need to be recovered: Array, Stabilizer, and Actuator. Take out the Daemonic Scrappers and Glinthawks to complete the objective, and then Scan the Tallneck for Damage. You’ll probably have noticed right away that there are other machines in the area and you’ll be prompted to Kill the Scavengers before you can get any closer. Activate Tallneck: Frostfigures from the quest menu to see your objective to Approach the Tallneck. ![]() Upon arrival you’ll notice the large machine’s head poking out of the cliff face. According to Ourea, it hasn’t been active for a very long time. There’s a single Tallneck in the Cut but it has somehow gotten stuck in the side of a mountain and frozen. Repair and Override the Tallneck ¶įirst things first: let’s get the fog cleared. We spoke to Sekuli anyway, just to get the ball rolling on that for later - the objective will change to Gather Pigments and Deliver them to Sekuli. This can also be done in your own time after the quest line is complete, so no need to worry about that for the time being. ![]() You can always head back across the map later to Complete a Trial at the Hunting Grounds, and you can Talk to Sekuli (she’s back in Song’s Edge) but you will have to take some time away from the main quest line to find the pigments she needs for her paintings. Repairing the Tallneck will of course disperse the fog from the map, which is always useful, and clearing out a bandit camp is rather straightforward and can be completed in no time at all. We suggest Clear out the Bandit Camp and Repair and Override the Tallneck.
